The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a mid-sized vehicle that provides consumers with the luxury that they are looking for. The E-Class is equipped with a variety of six and eight cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. The E in the name originally meant Einspirtzung which is German for fuel injection which was a new feature in
automobiles when the E-Series first hit the market in the 1950s. The E-Class is the world wide top seller for Mercedes-Benz and has a long history of providing sedans and wagons that offer consumers all the space, comfort, and style that they are looking for from the Mercedes-Benz name.
The first of the midsized Mercedes-Benz was the W120 Ponton 180 and it hit the roads in 1953. In 1955 the same engineering led to the release of the 190SL and the W121 190 in 1958. More popular models of the E-Class are the 400E and 500E that were released first as 1992 models as well as the E-Class of 1996 that began production in 1995. The 2002 and 2003 E-Class models were also quite popular. 2005 E-Class models were no different from those that came before them, they were quite popular as well. In 2006 consumers should expect to see a new E-Class model which will be the E350 Wagon and will replace the the E320 wagon. The vehicle will hold a 3.5 litre 24 valve V6 engine and will retail for just over $53,000.
