Hi,
I have been trying to search for clue but have not found anything so far. My 2002 CL500 trunk won't open with remote or the release button. I can hear humming noise coming from the trunk when pressing the remote, or pull the trunk release button on the door panel. I notice when I pull the trunk release button, the light on the button does not lid. I have a 2001 E430, and I know the light lid when I pull the button release. Anyone have any suggestion where to look? Thank you in advance

try manual opening with the key blade. turn to left then pull handle at same time....or put in key then turn left and push key blade in or up.

Sorry to mention that key blade work just fine. Need to figure out why the remote or trunk release button is not working. Can someone also confirm when you pull the trunk release button, does the red light on the button lid? Thanks,

Had a similar problem. Took it to the shop and was working fine before but not after, they reprogrammed it and it worked fine.

I took the trunk lid liner off today and figured out the problem. It is the black round plastic (not sure what it call) next to the trunk lock. When the release button is push, this thing is leaking air, and I can feel the air coming out of it. some of the plastic clip that hold it together has broken off, and seem like when the release button is push, this round black is leaking air, and get pushed out a bit on the side of the broken tab. Does anyone know what this thing is and how to remove it to replace? Thank you in advance
