I have a bose system with 6 disc changer. Just bought the vehicle. I would like to install the navigation system. Where do I look? Is dealer only choice?

It's hard to find navigation for ML350 outside of dealer right now. ML350 is using the DVD player, all the old ML are using CD player for the map. I did saw someone selling on Ebay once, but it's very rare.

I bought a DVD navigation system on e-bay and installed it myself in about 20 minutes. The only things you need are the DVD navigation to fit in your MCS, the DVD-ROM, and a GPS antenna. I bought the DVD navigation for just over $1,000 on e-bay, purchased the GPS antenna from a dealer that posts on this site often (for about $100) and bought the DVD-ROM on e-bay for about $180. The instructions I found on this forum...complete with pictures. good luck! - Steve

Hi, I'm also thinking to buy a dvd navigation system, and I'm just curious, is it play dvd on the screen? somebodys says yes, somebodys says no, and one guy said "mercedes has blocking system on the screen and you need to take off the block on it" is that true? also I have 2001 ML320, should I buy cd navigation system or dvd system is fine? thank you.
