Are your headlights NAM spec? Your best bet might be upgrading to Euro lamps followed by an HID kit. The lamps or headlights should be around $150 for the TYC brand, then the HID conversionm kit around $500. But all in all it's well worth it

HID should never be used in lenses not designed for HID lights. The beam pattern will be wrong and will blind oncoming drivers.

Buy a set of euro headlights. http://www.katmac.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=KI&Product_Code=W123HL&Category_Code=EHQ

True about the beam pattern being off, it will be L-shaped with w201 euros. I don't think they would be blinding though depending on what type they were. What about bi-xeon?

All HID lights (even stock ones) blind oncoming drivers.

Hi Butch,

The best affordabe lights that I have ever seen for the W123 is 7" Cibie E-code lights.  They seem to be better than the factory euro lights.
