need more light - 1/28/2008 1:43:11 PM    bng   Posts: 17 Joined: 11/23/2007 Status: offline 85 td candlepower seems to be normal as manufactured. problem is that i desire more are there any a/m sealed beams or conversion kits available for the newer replacment "bulbs" that will give me more lumens ? thanks butch Post #: 1

Your best bet might be upgrading to Euro lamps followed by an HID kit. The lamps or headlights should be around $150 for the TYC brand, then the HID conversionm kit around $500. The beam pattern will be wrong and will blind oncoming drivers. I don't think they would be blinding though depending on what type they were.
