My CPO 2005 S5004Matic Sport Package has the original 5 spoke non-staggered silver 18" AMG wheels (I think they are series III, not sure). From the sidewalk they look good, however upon close inspection it appears the dealer smoothed out some curb damage and actually touched up the wheels with spray paint. It's an amateurish repair. These wheels appear to have been factory painted originally (is that right?).
My question is, what is the best way to refinish my AMG wheels?
I was thinking about some kind of sand or ice blasting, then a repaint with an aircraft quality paint to match the original color.
….or should I just forget it?
