I'm trying to take apart a vacuum pump from an 82 240d... I've taken ,the pump off the engine, the cover off the front, the check valves out, but I can't figure out how to get the metal plate off from under the nut( i've taken the nut off) in the pump chamber to gain access to the seals,etc. What is the bloody secret here? Any tips? Thanks-Zach
