greetings all, just recently bought a '92 300D with 195K that has maintained very well- serviced every 15K, that i'm very pleased with. the brake pad indicator light has come on however, and need to think of changing the pads. any idea what the likelihood of needing to change the rotors as well might be? much obliged.

Front rotors, in a perfect world, should be changed with every other set of pads. Chances are that if you don't drive for long with the light on they should be fine.
