I am looking for amg wheels for my 2001 CL 600. Any opinions as to chrome vs. alloy?

Chrome looks great if you are willing to clean brake dust and have them rechromed every 5 or so years Alloy is much lighter and stronger, good choice for performance. I think it doesn't look as good as some mirror polished chrome wheels, but there's less maintainance involved other than the clear coat

Get the wheels you want, we offer over 4000 styles. Chrome vs. Alloy is what you want in appearance. Chrome is more maintenance, but it is chrome. Whereas alloy, its a satin finish, conservative, but still stylish. Weight wise, roughly the same.... 99% of the wheels out there are aluminum (alloy), and the paper thin nickel doesn't add that much weight.
