Its listed on a regional online classified network. Any ideas of what this could be and if it would be worth looking at? Post #: 1

RE: 1988 200D w/ 5 speed - 12/30/2007 8:45:28 AM    Drrty240D Posts: 161 Joined: 7/30/2006 Status: offline The 200 is a unique car and I think you are lucky to find one here in the US.  Why in the world would you want to swap the engine?  If you want a W124 300 get US spec car and save yourself the work.  Plus, you'll leave the 200 for someone who would appreciate the opportunity to have the I4 with the 5 speed. But I definantly see where you are coming from, that the I4 manual shouldn't be tampered with... (in reply to Drrty240D) Post #: 6
