what diameter block heater? - 12/22/2007 6:54:55 PM    strelnik   Posts: 6 Joined: 8/13/2007 Status: offline I want to install a new block heater on my 240d ASAP/ Is the plug/threaded hol;e a 1-1/2" or 38mm or 34mm of 1-3/8" diameter? Does anyone know for sure? Also, are the block hole diameters the same among different engines? Thanks Post #: 1

Installing one into the block if it has never had one can be very difficult as the plug is usually corrosion/electrolysis welded in place from age. _____________________________ 1980 240D 3.0VNT 222K Miles. OM617.95, GT2256V VNT turbo, 4-speed manual, 3.46 diff, 15mm rear swaybar, ALDA removed, no EGR and Amsoil by-pass oil filter.
