What is the name of this part? It is on the drive shaft next to the tranny. All the parts I see online do not seem to match.

I'm guessing you have an 86 or 88-89 190D.

Driveshaft vibration damper. It absorbs resonating vibrations normal to diesels with the 5-cylinder engine and a manual transmission.

Yes it is a 86, but it is an automatic not a manual.
