I am having a problem with the idle on my '93 190E. it idles too low and stalls. I would like to try to clean the ICV and check the hoses for cracks before I spend the money on a new one. The only problem is, I dont have a clue where it's located. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. A photo would just about make me go into the manic state of my bi-polar disorder.

I am a dumb guy from Iowa so please use small words if possible.

Oh, how is the recommended way to clean the valve?
Oh, one more thing. Is it possible to adjust the idle to compenste for this?

Thank you, in advance

Hello,
I don't know to clean it or anything, I did buy a replacement one from a seller on ebay.
Here is a picture of where it is located, it is the silvery cylinder in the black plastic holder:
In case the image does not show up, it is located forward of the fuel distributor and somewhat
near the oil dipstick, above the intake manifold.
Here's some discussion on idle speed:

good luck.
