You must be a man always in a hurry When this happened in my CL600, it was explained to me this way: The shift module operates after a sequence of events. Unlock the car, open the door, sit on the seat, close the door, key in ignition, foot on the brake, start the car, shift out of park. If you hurry it up and don't give the computer time to catch up, it will freeze. When it happened to me, I got out of the car and did the above sequence, and viola! I was on my way. Now, I consciously do the events in order. No problems ever since. Hope this helps.
