My 83 500 SEC is in need of some new wood trim. I am looking for the Zebrano trim for the climate control and shifter area. Does anyone know where I may be able to find this. I am having so much trouble finding parts for this car. I am restoring the interior of this care and the wood would have to be the hardest thing to find. The Dealer can get them bu8t they would run me about $800.00 for each peice. Please help.
Thanks ahead of time.

What condition is the existing wood in?  You may be interested in following the thread I have started in the Interior forum, titled "1988 420SEL W126 Interior Wood Restoration Project".  My zebrano pieces are in poor shape, and they have cracked clearcoat, hazing, scratching, etc.  I will be refinishing them myself.  I think (depending on how intact your current pieces are), that you may be better off refinishing them, as new pieces are scarce and expensive.  Even professional restoration for my '88 420SEL was quoted at $500.00 (well below the cost of replacement wood).  Good luck, and post some pictures if you can so we can have a look!

Have you tried adsitco or performance parts? Even if they do not have it online, I think you can try emailing them and see what they can do. Good luck!!!
