At the MB dealership in town here, the Service Advisor is the first person you can see in the shop. You can''t go directly to a tech and
start bargaining the job. So, my original post was that the dealership (the service advisor) quoted me that price. I did not go for it, obviously, and did the job myself. All the work done there is looked up by him on his computer in front of him, parts and labor for any particular job.
But I understand what you are saying. That''s just the way they do it at this dealership.

Couldn''t see pics either. No pics in gallery are visible, just red x. I can see pic in my signature. Odd!

I have no idea why I can see the pics in my gallery and nobody else can. No idea. Anyway, if there are people who want me to recap the steps to put plugs in the C230K, I''d be happy to. It''s really easy, you only need a few tools and a little time. Let me know if anybody cares to hear the steps again. I''ll try to make it brief and simple.

What plugs would you recommend?  Can you get them at a local parts store or should that be a "Stay away from idea"?

People may disagree with me on this one, but I read a bit before I chose the factory replacement iridium plugs to go with.
Twelve bucks a plug, they last a long time, you DO NOT GAP THEM, and you can get them online, no tax and free shipping if
you want. Auto parts stores and web sites will show a ton of different plugs that "will work". I myself wouldn''t do it after reading
up on some of the results people had with them. Now, I know people are going to say they used the "titanium uranium plutonium
zircon multi-electrode plug" and they love them. Again, this is what I did and I''m glad I stuck with the factory plugs. The mileage
went up a teeny bit over the worn spark plugs as well.
