Can anyone advise how to remove the command Navigational Radio from the dash.  I assume the wooden bezel just pops off but I don't want to crack it.

Thanks,

Dean

I have a 2004 sl55 and have recently purchased a dice ipod conversion kit that reportedly is plug and play replacing the cd changer. How do you remove the cd changer housing and gain access to the changer to replace it?Do you even recommend it? Thank you!

I presume you have found the solution by now.
However for the sake of the forum here is how I removed mine from my ’00 S-430.

Put on park brake
Turn ignition switch on
Place car in neutral
Open the ash tray compartment
Remove the torx screws on each side
After the torx screws have been removed close the ash tray compartment & remove it
The wood bezel has snaps on each side located in the 3 and 9 o’clock positions
Take your time unsnapping these snaps, one side at a time
Remove the 6 torx screws securing Command Unit
Now the Unit can be removed
