I have just installed a set of Hella FF50 driving lights in the front fascia of my 2000 ML320 and they look great. They are wired into the provided fog/auxillary light connection in the wiring harness in the front of the vehicle. This allows the use of the factory switch on the dash. I have read that the vehicle now has to be programed to recognize the lights and so that they will shut off when the high beams are selected and then back on when the low beams are on. Does this have to be done by the dealer or does someone know how to do it? What does this involve?
