I found For Sale an M103 3.0 engine with 90,000mi for $900. I'm currently at 190,000mi with my 87' and going through a quart every 2,000. Is this a great opportunity to swap and -100,000?? What would be a fair install price? Thanks!

I think you should save your money. I have been assured that oil consumption of a quart every 2,000 miles is normal consumption for these cars regardless of the mileage. It is highly likely that the engine with 90K miles will do the same. Cheers, Jdub

I would run a leak down compression test on your current eng. That should give you a good ideal of the condition. I agree a quart of oil every 2000 isn't significant unless that is a present rate of consumption and has been increasing significanly over the past 20k or so. I would save your money.
