I just purchased my first Mercedes diesel. One owner with all records from day one. 132K. It is a wonderful car but has a rough hot idle. I have changed the oil (Delo 400 15W40) both fuel filters, tranny fluid and differential fluid. The car idles and runs great for the first 30 minutes or so and then the idle gets worse as the cars gets hotter. It has a slight studder on take off also when hot. Sometimes after sitting like when running into get a cup of coffee the power on takeoff is very sluggish and it feels like it has a slight miss. I can hear an injector nailing intermittently. It is more noticeable when the car is in gear. The IP is leaking around the delivery valves and will be fixed Today. The car runs great running down the road and I am averaging 25 mpg combined city and highway with a heavy foot. Any ideas as to the temperature sensitive rough idle. I have read and searched this forum but have found no answer.  I will remove the injectors Wednesday and have them tested.  The local injection shop is awesome.
