It depends really what's a car worth to you. If you're looking for reliability, sure. If you're looking for speed, no. Also the year and number of miles.

Hi

I found a 1975 240D with 113k mi on the clock for $2k, and its was in a nice condition too. do u think the price is too high, to is it ok?

with that few miles i would say 2k is alright. look for rust and other major issues before leaping but they generaly are very very solid vehicles. I know you will love it.

LoL

I test dorve to day and found out that the engine was blown, so no way we are going to by that c*ap that guy tried to hide it with loud music. And one question, dose the car have glow plugs or something else because i did not see any glow plug light or glow plugs?

Hi Mr 47 - Too bad to hear about the bad engine. Must have quite a sound system if it was trying to hide anything on a diesel engine. They do have glow plugs, they might be the older style, but the light on the dash would be the same. My friend has a 82' 240 and he loves it. He does not care about speed, which is good, since it only has about 68hp or so. If you can find a 4-spd on a 240d, that could help you out with merging on a highway without fearing that you would die. I have a 78' 300D and even that, the merge gets interesting sometimes.
