Well i am thinking 20s and 30s white collar both male and female college grads same as the Audi A4 and BMW 3 but i think the new 2008 is going to attract some older buyers more than the younger ones. But i am 21 and have no interestest in a C maybe cause i have beens driving S-classes. I like both small and large cars but as far as MB i go larger unless i can get myself a cream puff C36 or C43. lol

Blue, I would suspect possibly a mid-professional crowd like Zane said, college grads, who are entering their career focus. It may also attract previous W201 owners since Mercedes has made claims of boosted reliability. Plus a diesel hasn't been offered since 87'. I really don't know.

Thank you so much for your honest opinions. I am 40, finally finishing Law school, and interested in the C230 or C280. When I drive my 2000 CLK to the dealer to shop for my new car, they wont even let me look at the C230! They drag me over to that MB SUV, whatever it is called, and wont get off. I DONT LIKE IT. Maybe I'm a big kid. Maybe I'm trying to save money or gas. I basically had to fire my salesman and find another one; he absolutely would not listen to me. What would I do with an SUV? Go hunting with it? Anyway, I started thinking he was right, maybe I'm too old to drive a C230.......crud. Charles

You're never too old to drive a C-Class or a car in general. Just look at the majority of older people driving around in massive luxury cars like the Ford Crown Victoria's or the Lincoln Town Car. He seems like he's self interested in his own likes. I could see if you brought a family of four into the showroom and that's why he took you to an suv, but that's weird.
