AMGMercedes -> RE: Kerkorian makes offer for Chrysler (4/6/2007 12:28:49 AM)

I hope so, I didn't appreciate Chrysler using the SLK platform for the Crossfire or which ever MB suspension they used for the 300/magnum. Chrysler wants to draw in the luxury crowd, but taking the luxury from us isn't the right thing to do. With that concept, they should buy Honda and use their engines to boost that little unreliable trend Chrysler has going on. quote:
$4.5 billion cash Hardly what Chrysler is worth. They really could pull the 300 off if they stopped using cheap materials like Dodge. Make the 300 an Imperial. Make the Pacifica more geared towards the x5 or M-Class to boost sales. I think the problem ultimately lies in upper management. They haven't done anything with the vehicles or produced incentives excluding rebates. Rebates will go only so far, however if they created an incentive for people to actually want to buy these cars and appreciate them, then Chrysler's golden.
