Hello all,

I have a 98 E300TD with 135,000 miles and it seems like I've loss power. When I hit the gas, there seems to be a lag in the turbo. And when the turbo finally kicks in, it doesn't feel like it has that much more power. It just feels like a non-turbo car accelerating. I would really have to give it a lot of gas (almost to the floor) in order for the turbo to kick in and when it does kick in, it seems like the turbo is only working at 50% or even a little less than 50%.

My brother has the same car with 176,000 miles and his seems to have a lot more power than mine. I drove his car the other day and when I give it a little gas, the turbo kicks in right away and you can really feel it go.

In the last 3 months, I've changed the fuel filter, the pre-filter, the fuel lines, the O-rings, the Air mass sensor, the air filter, and did a diesel purge.

Could it be the turbo that's having issues or my fuel injector?

I would really appreciate any help.

thanks
