Wind factor?

So it's been fairly windy here and it seems whenever it's windy out, I have a hard time controlling the car. You see leaves blowing across a certain part of the highway ahead and when you enter that part, the car is forced in whatever way the wind is blowing. I don't see too many other cars battling against wind. Could this be a suspension issue or maybe ride height? Possibly allignment? It's controlable, but I don't think it's necessary to be tossed around just by little gusts of wind. Ideas?

its due to the softness in the suspension.now looking at your sig if you have sway problems with all those upgrades its going to be a harder fix.my 76 300d while parked it is fairly easy to get the car to move side to side. this is due to the large profile sidewalls on my tires and relatively weak springs and anti-sway bar. take your example and try to rock it back and forth and compare it to a newer vehicle even a econo box, a 2003 cavalier in my case, and see the difference.

steering slop is also a major cause of this wandering effect. is your steering wheel slop less than one inch?

He hasnt put any of those upgrades on yet.

Its a light car and yes Matt it will tend to get blown around some plus dont forget all the rubber suspension componets are over 20 years old. And Matt the gusts have been 30 mph plus you really cant see it from other cars unless the wind is real bad.

That's the play in the steering wheel where you can turn the wheel and nothing happens, right? It's less than an inch. So it seems it's just an old soft suspension is to blame. The H&R kit should solve it then.
