if your car is equipped with the fold in feature you will have a button for that on you door that will fold in or out. you also will have options in your cluster to set it for fold in or not when the car is locked.  should be under convenience in the selections. in the settings menu.      as for your lights if you have zenon they will come on slowly as compared to instantly without zenon. the bulb wil have a 2pin connector on it if it is NOT zenon. zenons usually look blue when first turned on.

Early i.e. 00my w220 S Class didn't have the auto "fold in" feature selectable in the steering wheel convenience menu. This was added later in the model life since it is an increasingly important feature in countries like the UK where parking spaces and streets are VERY narrow compared to the USA.

w220 has however had manual (push a button) "fold in" mirrors since the start of production.

I changed the instrument pack in my car and this feature (and several others like locator lights) became available on the menu (and selectable) but do not work. I guess it also requires new switch modules in the doors to receive the signal. Likewise I don't have locator lamps fitted!

Hope this helps.

If anybody knows anything further as to how I can make this feature work on my car I would appreciate that.

Stuart.
