Some states are worse.

I live in MD and i got my License in 2001 and u have to drive 40hrs with parents, go to drivers ed and have had learners for 4 months and be at least 16 and one month. And u could not drive between 12am-5am. Without a reason until u were at least 17 and 7months with no moving violations. i think it has gotten harder now i aint sure though

Dang mbz! Did they request a DNA sample and your school transcripts from Kindergarten too???? Move to Hawaii. You can get your license their at 15. I think Germany is worse since you can't get a license until you're 18 and you have to attend a mandatory driving school that costs around $1500 then pay some outrageous amount of $$ for your actual license. Ahhhhhhh where have the good old days gone...A permit at 15 and free driving at 16???

The DMV is nuts in MD. The 40hr thing is a fairly good idea, but I bypassed mine with about 34 bs hours. There's no absolute way to create decent drivers, just an absolute way to make the DMV more complicated and more time consuming...
