I'm beginning to think the car customizing gods are against me upgrading the factory wheels on my car. I have ordered 2 sets of wheels, both of which were verified by the "wheel fitment guide" computer of the wheel distributor my shop uses only to have both sets rub the front brake caliper and require a 1/4" spacer. At first I thought about living with the spacer but have decided against it and am now waiting on my 3rd set of wheels. The first 2 were MAAS 19x8.5" w/ 35mm offset. I'm now trying the Mandrus Regenmeister 19x8.5's with a 32mm offset. I confirmed that these will actually fit and not rub on the calipers with 2 different sources but only time will tell. I'm hoping they'll be here today or tomorrow and more importantly that they will fit properly. If these don't work my only other option seems to be a set of custom made MHT's at about $1300 each. Keep your fingers crossed everyone. And for all of you with the 07 230SS, if you plan on changing out the factory wheels, be prepared!
