The latest results, just posted, include a partial result for the 2005 as well as the 2008.

The 2008 has a repair rate near the average. The 2005, based on a smaller number of responses, appears to require more repairs than the average 2005 model.

Next update in November, with a preview for participants next month. With a few more participants we''ll be able to provide results for more model years.

I purchase a 2003 C230 Sport Sedan in March of this year with only 36K miles. It is approaching 48K miles and I have only had to do the recall... Been a very good car (knock on wood). There are a few issues I have not had looked at yet... The power part of the driver seat does not work and the springs groan when going slow. I purchased an extended warranty, so I will have those looked at when I have time.

283 C-Class owners have signed up to participate so far. A good start, but more are needed.

Help get your year included in the results:

It''''s been three months, so the results for the Mercedes-Benz C-Class have been updated again.

Repair rates, in terms of successful repair trips per 100 vehicles per year:

2005: 84, about average, but small sample size

2008: 59, about average

Additional participants would be very helpful for all years.

I still love my 201.  People stopped asking me about the reliabilty about sixteen years ago. I would say: good so far. Twenty years later: good so far. Wow time flies.

My 09 C300 only has 130 miles after four weeks; so it will not likely be a signal car.
