Will these fit on my 97 C230?

This is my first post.

I'm shopping for some used rims for our 97 C230 and found a great deal on some that came off of an SLK . . . here are the sizes that the guy posted:  

front 16X7 37ET and
rear 16X8 30ET on 5lug 112mm. SLK 230/320 fitment, but may
work with other models ... check with your MBZ dealer.

Can someone tell me if these would fit?  And if so what size tires could I buy that would work?

those will fit but not to sure about tire sizes. i hear a lot about 225 but with 16 u can go thicker.

Thanks for the info.  I can go to the tire shop and figure out sizes, I just need to jump on these rims before they sell and wanted to make sure they'll fit.

Not sure where I found it but search for mercedes_wheel_fitments.pdf. For aW/S202 C Class it lists those as a Mercedes approved combo but with a slightly different offset - 37 and 36. Tires would be 205/55R16 for the front and 225/50R16 for the rear. I just happened to have the PDF open :-)
