I found a '97 300E Diesel with about 119K, that is in, apparently, excellent condition. I haven't driven it yet. I once owned a Volvo Diesel 240 wagon and enjoyed the car until I cracked a head on it and had to rebuild the engine. I like the idea of the car's safety and the diesel's very good mileage. I would like to hear from someone with experience, about this car/motor. We currently have a '95 Volvo 960 w/ 160K and am a little bit hesitant to buy another car with over 100K on it. If someone can fill me in on what I can expect, in terms of longevity of this motor, the power/speed(I don't expect it to be very strong but would like for it to be adequate, be able to pass another car). I have read that bio fuel possibilities are not that great in the US yet but would like to hear what the possibilities are, especially in the Atlanta area.
