Hi Guys Im new to this forum but have been posting for a while on http://www.totaltorque.net

I need some help with my fathers A Class. Its a new W169 170CDi and his ASSYST service indicator has come up after 2k miles.  He rang the dealers and they said drop it in to be reset.  This is however a real journey.

On the previus model W168 he could press buttons and turn keys.

Is there a way to reset the service indicator without going to the dealers? PS Im in the UK

Not sure how its done on new models, but if its a new car it may pay to take it to the dealers to avoid invalidating its Warrenty
