I see from your postings the joy you've been having with your C240. I'm in Western Australia and six months ago bought a 1997 C240 (WDB 202 0262F etc) , and, guess what, the fuel level sender unit is playing up - and the extended warranty I bought from the Mercedes dealer doesn't cover the unit - now Mercedes want Aust $931.50 to replace (parts & labour). Is there any cheaper option (apart from always keep the tank full and hope for the best)? I really enjoy driving my C240 but the repair bill since it's come out of warranty is rapidly mounting up ... Allegedly the vehicle was fully serviced, had undergone full safety check and all general maintenance items had been done including new tyres fitted. Rear seatbelt faulty and replaced during warranty. Then first service outside warranty.... the rising cost of owning the C240 begins...
