Hello,

First post here. I'm looking to get a 98', 99', or 00' E320 wagon (it would be my first mercedes), any general advice on those years?
I'm looking at an '00 with 67k miles (I haven't seen it yet, nor do I know it's history). Would you advise buying an extended warranty on a wagon with that many miles?

Thank You-------Ted

E320 had lots of problems till year 2001.
Check the Auto Consumer reports book at your library for full details on problem areas.

I was also planning for the same but landed up buying a 2002 4Matic wagon.

Good Luck!!

Definitely get the extended warranty. Not worth taking the chance. A small amount of $$ up front will give you a big piece of mind in the future. I know I'm glad I got extended warranty for my '01 E320. It paid for itself within the last 3 months.
