On a 1985 240D there is an EGR Valve to allow exhaust gasses to recirculate. My question what is the Throttle plate looking device in the Intake manifold for? Is it to allow EGR operation when the car is idling and going slow, as the more foot feed you give it the more this opens up allowing more air from the air cleaner.
