ORIGINAL: bikealfa Can you give any more details about why we should stay away from the V12s? I am considering an SL65. Michael Wilson Michael, Exhaustive research has revealed that V12 owners have a propensity to stutter (just like their engines) and post the same question 9 times. Seriously, I would recommend taking a hard look at the SL55. IMO, the SL55 offers more “Bag for the Buck” than the SL65; with 0-60, ¼ mile and top end numbers being very close to the much higher priced SL65 without the added weight and maintenance problems often associated with that of a 12 cylinder engine. If you want to treat yourself to a truly unique, ultra performance MB that will NEVER be mistaken for the standard SL; consider the SLR McClaren! The handling, performance and spectator appeal will blow you away!!!!!!!!!! Good luck with your shopping, Jim
