I am repainting my 86 126 300sdl. It was originally green (that ugly mint color) i have the whole car disassembled for a color change. The car has the palamino interior what color should i spray it?

Here is my '87 SDL, does the color look familiar? I actually like it.
My opinion for the color is a quote from Henry Ford.......
"you can have any color you want as long as it's black"

I would paint it metallic black.

Regards,
John

Go with black that has a chromish effect to it.

Sorry i just saw this. Silver hands Down. Any Mercedes looks good in silver especially the W126 to bad u dont have the dark blue interior cause that with the silver has the best color contrast. Black is a hard color to keep clean remember.

Silver was my first choice, but I am worried how it will look with the interior. I know the other colors will match ok, I am just worried silver will look silly with the palamino (or however it is spelled) interior.

I like silver as well, and up to about 3 months ago, I would have voted for it in a NY minute. Yet I voted for the dark blue merely because an aquaintance recently bought an absolute all original, like new, creampuff 1985 300D T, very dark blue with palimino interior. I was struck by how the contrasting colors seemed to compliment each other.. and if ever given the chance, I'll take that combo every time.

Still, IMHO, palimino is the best interior color because it goes with just about all of the other colors...But to me, it's not nearly as appealing with silver or other lighter tones ... As someone said, a blue interior is perfect for silver, and I would add, most other lighter tones....

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

silver for me  I believe silver is neutral enough to use with any color interior adn silver is much easier to maintain than the dark colors
