this is a picture of my 95 e300d non turbo. I bought this car for $1000 3 months ago and i went through the whole thing mechanically an cosmetically. This is it completed.  I also scored a set of real braubus wheels at a steal.

Congradualations! It looks great! And you got a grand deal, especially if you do your own work...From Kent Bergsma book, Mercedes Diesel Buyer's Survival Guide, from mercedessource.com,  "The 124 diesel sedans produced between 1990 to 1995 have proven to be well built and very reliable diesels. These are  proving to be robust cars and great candidates for SV/WVO converstion. He also says, "If you're thinking about getting one, get it now. Withe the increased interest in driving on alternative fuels, the 124 diesels are hgihtly sought after and supply of good ones will dry up in the next few years."

One of these days I'll find a low milage creampuff, 124, 300D turbo, 2.5, which I strongly suspect is the perfect transition for my wife....from her beloved Lexus LS400

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.
