My wiring harness went out on my baby, Uncle works on Benz, and other "high end" cars. Thinks he can "splice and weld" the harness. Basically fix it with out the $1500 price tag. We tried looking for used harnesses, but hey, do I really want to go through this AGAIN?!?! Anyway, we are looking for a way to fix it without replacing it, any suggestions? The harness is "shorting out" the first coil.

I want my "baby" BACK!!!
Thanks!

D'uh! I realize that! I am just trying to figure out IF there is a way to splice the wiring harness. His cost on the part only is about 800 +/- and then it would take at least one full day to put the thing in...

He has another C-280 in the shop with identical problem. Hoping if we can "try" to splice mine, then he will be able to help this older lady out without her having to spend $$$ on fixing it.

Try to help please, I KNOW the thing needs to be fixed, but we are trying to come up with alternatives. THe money is really not the issue for me, but it is for the older lady!

Thanks
