Hello, I talked to a manager at a local bar and grill this afternoon about taking some WVO off his hands.
He said I was not the first person to ask about it. He said I had his permission to take whatever I wanted
out of the tank out back. Does anyone else have an arrangement like this? The tank belongs to the recycling
company that picks up the oil. The resturant does not pay for removal of the oil, and they do not get paid for it.
I only need about 15-20 gallons per month maximum. This seems like a good situation because I would not have to
take more than I need.

Let me know......

Thanks,
John

generally, the oil belongs to the tanks owner as soon as it goes in the tank. That means taking it without the recycling agencies permission is technically theft, and there have been prosecution, though I am not sure if there have been any in your area. Also, I don't know if a bar and grill is going to produce high quality WVO... Overall, I would say not a good deal. Look for an asian resturant, and try to collect the oil in cubies..

Have you looked for info on WVO forum sites?
