Hi, newbie posting....I noticed everyone's doing their own oil change or having jiffy lube do it. what about the schedule B maintenance you're suppose to do? they usually do the oil change with the schedule B with my warranty...but my warranty ran out so is it still worth paying $330 to get the "check up" or should I just do the oil change myself? thanks! I have a 2002 slk 230

I do my own oil change.. Do you know where filter is?? know which wrench works best?? wrench can be gotten at any local parts store.. I use WIX filters (the wix filter comes with new O-ring for housing and copper gasket for drain plug ..) NEVER forget The synthetic 5w30 Mobil 1 oil!!!!!!!!!! If you have a Jiffy lube do oil change, bring own oil (mobil 1) and WATCH em put it in!!!! resetting reminder is in handbook or here on SLK section.. Ya get real confused ask "baffle" here on forum

thanks to this great web site and bazzle's advice I saw a step by step pictures of the oil change. I bought a oil hand pump from overton's (for my jet ski) and found a website for the oil filter. I am assuming the wrench is a standard oil wrench..hopefully I can find mine somewhere. but either way do you ever get this schedule B thing done?
