Why is a SL called SL ? - 4/12/2004 4:10:07 PM    Horsepower Posts: 99 Joined: 2/18/2004 From: United States Status: offline Did you ever ask why the SL is called SL ? SL was originally for the German words "Sehr Leicht" (Very Light). Everybody knows that they actually are not very light and when the cars came to market the meaning was changed to "Sport Leicht" (Sport light). Post #: 1

I actually was in Japan but could not check the spelling on 'sweet'.
