The more I hear, the better they sound! Is it vital to have a dealer type place do routine maintenence?

"mercedes diesel are junk- they always break down". There is a mercedes diesel taxi in turkeny that has 3,700,000 MILES!!!!! (convereted from kilometers) and still runs!!
