I've been interested in sports cars for years, but just purchased my first Mercedes, a 1995 600SL.

If there are any onther SL owners located in the Savannah area, feel free to give me a call or email.

That should be an SL600, no? Not trying to jerk you around, but the magnetic field or something switched at Mercedes Benz. All the XXXSL cars became SLXXX cars. Nice car, yes?

I have some antique watches and clocks. Sadly, they ain't worth much, if anything. They don't even keep good time. They make good decoration, though. I have a wall covered in clocks and a shelf in a display case covered with watches.

Sometimes, I shoot my watches while driving my SL. I went to get a .22 cal. rifle recently and the guy at the gun shop talked me into gettting a .17 cal. instead. It's the first time I heard of a .17 cal. It's a nice flat shooter, and a bucketful of bullets only costs about 19 cents. Well, okay, a little more, but they're way cheaper than .22s, which are pretty cheap themselves. It's a very nice target shooter and plinker. I'm glad I got it. I have one or two other firesticks, too.

Savannah who, where, what?

And yes, it is an extreme experience to drive around. There's tons of chrome on it, it has shiny black paint, and it sounds really healthy.

Many heads turn. Many people say something positive. Some just wave or give a thumbs up or a big smile.

All the girls, okay some girls, go nuts and yell nice things to me about it. A couple of guys have yelled something nice, but the ladies have the guys outnumbered by a longshot.

A lot of graying gents just stare and smile. I can see the rush of memories in their faces.

Almost everybody loves the car. It's fun to drive or just see go down the road, I guess.

I could never rob a bank and then escape in it. I wouldn't last one minute in a getaway.

I'm talking to myself now.

sleepwalker asked me a couple of questions and I was replying to him but his post disappeared. Either that or I don't have any Shiner Bocks left in the fridge.

RRWatch,

I bought a new Baretta model 686 limited edition over/under 12 ga last night. It's one of 750 manufactured.

I bought this to make me feel better about having sold a Browning Sweet Sixteen for $40 when I was a kid. What a turd I was for doing that.
