My error, they don't. They only produced five for civlian use in 1998. They made a 1999 version which they gave it the actual CLK lights. (the original had the E-class rear light look.)

Oh damn, that was the concepts with the E-class rear lights because originally the CLK-GTR was suppose to be an E-Class "coupe" made for racing but the regs stated it must be a race car based on a production car, thus the CLK is born. Didn't get enough sleep last night, sorry.

And a total of 25 cars in 1998. And they still make em, but it's two different versions the GTR and the DTM, made the GTR up to 2003 aand the DTM AMG is still being produced. The DTM AMG is what the race car is called now. That's why I got mixed up. Thought they was the same car but come to find out they are in a way but are not. The DTM looks more like a CLK with a mean body kit on it and the CLK-GTR looks like a plain out CLK race car.

I'm familiar with the AMG DTM, it's a great car, but nothing compared to the GTR. It's also good to hear that the GTR was still made in 2003, I'll be picking one up later in the future

Same location, on two of the same forums, and love the same cars. Maybe we're related too?? Wow

Them cars are too loud for me. I'm more of a straight plush type person. But if I had money to burn and access, I would get a CLK-GTR hands down to add to a Mercedes collection. But in order to own a CLK-GTR you must race one in competition. So that mean that if you come across a guy with one, more than likely he knows what he's doing. The F1 is slightly more easier to get ya hands on. But then again, if I'm spending a million dollars on a car, I probably just snag up both of them just for show. Won't even drive em. Give one to my son and or daughter. Just because I can (in that case).

The F1 is another great car as well. Love where the driver is positioned in the center rather then to the left. I bet the car is more accurately balanced because of it too

plus who wouldn't to in the middle of two lovely dates. Instead of one in the front and the other left in the backseat.
