Nuro I have a 98 SL500 and have put 35K miles on it over the last year. In other words, I commute. It may not be a sports car but it is a true pleasure to drive and when I am sitting in that wonderful traffic in Atlanta I turn up the music and just forget the noise. It is not perfectly quiet but it is the quietest of the many convertbiles I have had. I normally keep a car for 2 years and by that time I am tired of it and ready to trade. In this case, I have had it for a year and a half and I still find myself grinning everytime I look at it. I have had BMWs, Porsche, and even an old Ferrari. I wouldn't trade my R129 for any of them.
