i have an 82' 300 sd . I need to knopw if this year has the glow plugs that rely on one another. i dont think it does, ive herd they can be a pain in the ass to deal with so i just wanted to know. thanks

You have all plugs connected with an electric bar and single wire coming from relay. Only couple plugs are hard to reach and sometimes require disconnecting fuel lines. Depends on the outdoor temperatures the engine will start even with 2 dead plugs. With 3 dead and warm weather it might still start with some cranking. I had old Volkswagen, that did start with dead relay, but even above 70 F it took few minutes of cranking to start.
