GO FOR THE BENZ!!

I totally agree with fly_major_fly, in that, you more than likely already have your mind made up which one you want, but decided to ask just to confirm your feelings.

Hey.... just go get whatever you want. If it feels good, DO IT!

No matter which one you get, you can always sell it if you don't like it. You'll lose a few dollars in the process but hey... it's only money and it's a good learning experience.

One thing to note is:
The BMW front suspension bushings, seem to go out prematurely AND they are NOT covered under warranty for some odd reason. I'd read your warranty VERY CLOSELY. It may appear to be better at a glance, but deep down in the fine print is where you can get screwed.

Yea, for some reason, MB is not importing the 4Cyc/ Supercharged model to the US any more. I wish they would, and make it a manual transmission, too.

I am keeping my 99 C280, as it has been trouble free. I think the 79 450 SLC is going to be more reliable then any 2001 plus Benz. I also agree with Sleepwalker, I had a BMW 3 series and had to get rid of it after my bad operation and the post ops problems, cramp, horrible seats, but is was fast, but I hated the automatic and Bimmer's poorly design manual shift mode. Hardly ever used it. The only thing I will say, one you got yourself in ove the seat side suports, they did hold you in place.

I owned 2001 330i for 15months...It was a disaster..!
Windows go bad, lack of low end torque, Dealer full of bad dealing!
Sold it and got 2004 c-clss and was nice move. The car is user friendly and I am deciding to move to 2007 next generation...any one got pics?
Any way If u are hardly want BMW, go only for 2006 7series or else stay away.

I just recently sold my 2002 330 Ac Schnitzer CEC Wheels BMW for the 2005 6 speed C320. I hated the new BMW with the I drive I think it sucks ,along with that my 11,000 in rims did not fit the new BMW. I also felt that my 2005 C320 Sport has more torque. I have had the Benz now for 4 months and will never by another 3 series BMW again. The leather and Sport Sespension and just overall handeling of the car along with the Harmon Cardon Sterio System are awsome. BMW has a much better warenty program but if you are bringing the car in once a month like I had to for problems for just about everything its a serious inconvience. I would by the Mercedes.....

So.... since we haven't heard from agn105 in a while, I'm thinking he went for the BMW? Whad'ya think? Otherwise, he'd proly be singing the C230's praises on this board and we'd all feel so smart in advising to get one.

Hey guys,
so sorry, being in school and all, it has been a very busy time here, and to be honest, i forgot what this website was as well!

Anyways, I did order an '06 C230, and am picking it up Friday (the 16th), which is good timing since college graduation is the 17th.

The car: - black exterior and interior (i wanted gray interior, but harder to find.. a well as split-fold rear seats)
- tele-aid
- heated seats
- sunroof pkg
- rear side airbags
- manual transmission

Can not wait to pick it up!

I just read through all the posts, and you guys are right... the whole time i really did like the benz more, and once i realized that i went ahead with the purchase.

Now here comes the fun part: accessories!

After all the problems I have had with my 06 230 I hope he went for the BMW. I wouldn't advise anyone to get a MB.
