Location of AC drainage??

I'm having some problems with my AC making noise. My dad who is about 5000 miles away from me thought it could be because the air-conditioning drainage is clogged. I own a 2000 SLK 230. Could someone tell me exactly where that is located in order for me to check. I have no clue where to look exactly.

I'm not sure, but I would think a blocked ac drainage would give you water or a wet spot inside the car. Is the blower making noise or the compressor ?

The compressor sort of kicks on and off but I wouldn't say it is making noise. It sounds more like it is the blower if anything. I was told that if the drainage is clogged or partially clogged it can make the car make noise like it is right now. If I can locate the drainage I could check if it is clogged and clean it fairly easily. So I'm just looking to locate it right now.

you mean the evaporator is icing up...the air cannot flow...and therefore the whoosing noise?

you can find it better under the car on the side of propeller tunnel. got one on each side. lift the car up. use something to ram the hole.

you cannot find any moisture being drained on the pavement?

That is correct, there is not condensation on the pavement. SO it is more towards the front of the car then on each side?

What kind of noise is it that you are hearing ?

Is there a rattling noise ?

Or does it sound like air flow ?

Please describe it in detail and maybe we can help :)

That is if you don;t already have it sorted out.

OK, here goes. It started last winter. I made a sort of wind/wistling noise. Especially under extrem cold weather. I had the AC recharged without much result. It heated up out side and the noise got better. Now in extrem heat it is back. Plus when I come to a stop and idle the compressor kicks on and off and makes the motor run a little rougher every time it kicks on. When I turn AC on it takes a while to get really cold...usually sort of half cold for a while. There is also a sort of sour smell coming out of the vents when I turn the car on and run the AC with the fan on. Could be from something else though...not sure. I don't see any condensation on the pavement after I've been out driving with the AC on. One time I though the R-134 was getting low so I added some my self (probably not a smart decision). When I did that the compressor started kicking on and off like it had before while my car idles. However, the first three times it did that it spewed gas out. In the front left part of the hood (driver side behind the head light) there is...what looks to be a black canister...that is where the gas game out of. I'm not sure if that is a check valve or a leak or what. So there you have it.

See...that is what I thought from the beginning. So I had it emptied and recharged + oiled up with only a slight improvement. This then got worse when it got really hot out. I hooked up my pressure gage to the AC and I only read 10 PSI and at the time it should be around 45 psi. So when I added a can of 134a it jumped up to 30 psi...and that is when the gas go expelled from the black canister. This still doesn't explain why I have no condensation on the ground + the whossing/whistling noises. There must be multiple problems then or something.
