85 190D Brakes & gen. ques... - 5/7/2005 1:32:48 AM    gobo   Posts: 1 Joined: 4/16/2005 Status: offline Here we go... Just purchased an 85 190d w/ 230k mi. The brakes are real spongy, and seem to work at the floor. What could be the problem? The thing won't shut off- I have to go under the hood and activate the cut off lever! Looking at the motor, the left side of the valve cover has a small (pinhole) in it that exhaust gas leaves from...Is this normal? Also there is {no} power when going up a steep grade... Help, suggestions, etc will be greatly appreciated... Thanks all,Bo Post #: 1
