Imagine a 1976 450SEL, repainted light blue, beautiful chrome, no rust, refinshed interior (dash, wood and seats from Germany), 138,000 miles.

How much is it worth? I don't have the space for it any longer...

Google this: "76 450 SEL"

I found one for $12K and another for $10K. Look around some more, especially in your area. Look in the newspaper. A particular area can measurably affect the price of a car.

If you have to, get out the Yellow Pages and hire an appraiser.
